About In&Around Directory

In&Around was established as a means of promoting shops and services both within Bishop Auckland and it's neighbouring towns: Shildon, West Auckland, Spennymoor, Ferryhill, Willington, Crook and the Wear Valley towns of Wolsingham and Stanhope. Of course we will also welcome subscribers from further afield: Newton Aycliffe, Darlington, Staindrop, Barnard Castle and Durham.

Many people travel out of the area to find the specific items and services they want, without knowing that much of it can be found "on their doorstep". Through a combined campaign of internet marketing and leafleting, our broad aim is to boost awareness of what the immediate locality has to offer.

At the same time we aim to address the fact that competence in the use of the internet search engines to find goods and services has grown markedly over the last few years - the competition for customers is no longer just in the street.
